In the 21st century, a machine can do anything except replacing handmade craftsmanship.
Handmade products embody the changing moment, the state of mind of the individual and
the encounter between man and material.
Rinat Bashan, born in 1970, is an artist and a graphic designer. Yair Bilenski, born in 1969,
has a bachelor degree in Business Administration and is an art-carpenter.
Rinat and Yair, the founders of “Rinart”, live together, create together and raise their two
lovely sons and their many animals, amongst which chickens and goats.
“At a certain stage of our lives, we decided to get out of the routine and to start working
at our home, combining creativity and craftsmanship, our love for photography, Rinat’s
designing talent and Yair’s skillful hands. This has brought us to the creation of our
handmade picture frames, albums and boxes, which are made of Northern Finnish Birch
wood according to a special technique. We deeply believe in handmade products, because
of their esthetic-artistic value and the human touch involved in the process".
