A few days ago I posted the daily anomalies Center Tirreno (square of 2.5 à 2.5 ° around 42.5 N - 12.5 E), which can be found in: http://globalwarming.blog.meteogiornale.it/2010/01/11/centro-tirreno-invernale-a-850hpa
To gain a fuller today added the Italian areas of the NE (46N-12, 5E) and Sicily (37.5 N - 13.5 E), the area which is normally the coldest and the warmest. In the opening image I put medievalist temperatures 850hpa for the three areas considered and you may notice a difference of about 2 ° between the north and center and about 4 ° between north and south.
I have considered only the two most determined winter months, January and February.
North East , daily data and data smoothed over 31 days and 28 for February:
Sicily:
As you can see, and compare with the post data in the Tyrrhenian Center link above, the overall trends are similar for the three areas, trend more or less absent oscillations with a time period and generally warmer in the 90s.
Any small differences in climate between the period of the three zones can be observed in the following graphs du which contains data Anthony Smith
Differences but there are minor, however, for example, in the south are several peaks which ends February 1956 (beaten them since February 2003) or January 63 (beaten in the south since January 1981). The data give an idea of the rounded periods of climatic extremes and not being sensitive to the data before and after the end of the graph riesentono the lack of subsequent data and therefore reflect only the previous period.
See in detail two extreme cold for Italy, February 56 and January 1963 and a warm, January 2007 on three areas:

I leave with you the vision of the trends of the various peaks in the absolute daily data, the frequency of certain "thermal" in height and their trends over time on different areas.
