Global Warming. are you Worried About It?

Today I read an article in the paper. The headline read”Doomsday Clock Ticks Closer to Midnight”. Apparently a prominent group of scientists in 1945 set up this clock to illustrate impending nuclear annihilation. At that time their main concern was nuclear war and midnight symbolized a widespread nuclear conflict. They moved it to 11:55 today. Their concerns have shifted however, more onto Global warming. The dangers posed by climate change are nearly as dire as those posed by nuclear weapons they say. I couldn’t help but ponder how the world seems to know something ominous is on the horizon but they don’t know exactly what.

As a believer in Jesus I guess I have an added advantage to know exactly what is coming down the pipe for planet earth. As a matter of fact everything that is currently happening out there in planet earth has been forewarned about 2 thousand years ago without squinting to hard at the bible. In Matthew chapter 24 and Luke 21 the disciples asked Jesus “what the sign of his coming would be and of the end of the age”. Notice I didn’t say the end of the world. The world mistakenly believes that Armageddon is the end of the world but scripture clearly bears out that it is a time of great tribulation but also a new beginning after that. Jesus gave them a list of things to watch for that would be the tell tale signs. I will attempt to touch on a 3 obvious ones here for those that may be scoffing at bible prophecy. For all the atheists out there that have the guts to read this.

So what are we seeing lately that everyone can clearly see that the Bible is totally accurate and right on pace with.

#1 Well first off Jesus in Matthew said we would hear of wars and rumors of wars. Also that “nation would rise against nation”. If you look up the word nation in the Greek you get the word ethnos. In other words ethnic diversity against ethnic diversity. Gadzooks! Countless examples of wars and ethnic groups fighting each other all over the world at this moment. All you have to do is watch the news on Iraq or Iran or some of the wars going on in Africa. The Yugoslavia thing awhile back also comes to mind. I’m sure you can fill in the blanks here depending on which war you have been following.

#2 He also said there would be “famines and earthquakes in various places”. I don’t think you have to look to hard for truth in this one as scientists clearly telling us that more and more earthquakes are happening with increasing intensity in the last few years. We all are acutely aware of famines. Organizations like world vision are constantly on our televisions educating us. Even Bono has stepped up to the plate and tried to get the rich countries to cancel the debt of the poor countries to take a stab at eliminating poverty and hunger.

#3 Lastly Jesus said “there will be signs in the sun,in the moon and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring”. So have you seen any hurricanes lately. How about tsunamis. Katrina ring a bell. I live in B.C. Canada and the west coast has had a string of storms in a row this winter and of a fierceness that has not been seen in years putting thousands out of power.

So what does it all mean you might ask. For the believer it means Jesus is secretly about to rapture them out of the judgments that are about to fall on mankind as a result of his rebellion and sin against God.

For the unbeliever it means troubling times ahead, such as never been seen on the earth before. I suggest watching Israel and the signing of a seven year peace treaty. When this happens the world has exactly that time frame. 7 years until Jesus returns to earth to set up his new kingdom. During this seven year period a series of wars takes place leading up to Armageddon, where so much carnage and killing results the blood runs up as high as the horse’s bridle.

Scary stuff if you are still here! Personally I don’t think there is anything we can do to fix global warming. But there is still time today to turn from your sin and accept what Jesus did for you on the cross and I’ll see you in Heaven.

Global Warming – is it Real?

Is global warming real? Is something happening to the earth’s ozone layer?

There is no doubt the average ambient temperature is on the rise and has been for some time. In fact long before it became popular to believe so.

Global warming has been a fact since the ice age! The ozone layer is also undergoing change as well. Factor in category level hurricanes, typhoons, changing weather patterns and seismic activity all on the rise…what’s happening?

Is there any simple explanation? Is there possibly more to it all than the standard catch all “greenhouse gases” at play?

Possibly just a tad more complex then air pollution and deforestation.

The facts point to massive earth changes that caused the earth to evolve from its previous state of Eden as described in the Book of Genesis.

We pump our oil from beneath the frozen tundra’s of Alaska and Russia; from beneath the dessert sands of the Middle East; and the ocean floor provides the rest. These regions were at one time lush green gardens full of plant and animal life. What transformed them all to wasteland?

Was it green house gases, air pollution or was the dinosaur to blame by over harvesting and poor environmental policies?

The question then stands, have the climate and environmental changes that we are now seeing happened before?

Global Warming and Your Computer

We all love our computers and right now as you read this you know it is only because of your computer that you are. They give us the news, let us play games online and off, meet a dream partner, manage our investments, research vacations and homes, buy cars, bid for goods, watch home videos, create family photo albums, and so much more. Parting with you computer these days would be asking to part with your head.

The Problem

While we all love our computers and there isn’t much debate to the wonders they give us in our everyday lives a problem exists and has existed for some time. The problem is pollution. Yup our handy little buddies are part of a global problem just as much as a solution. What is the extent of the pollution? Try 90 Billion pounds of carbon dioxide a year spewed into our atmosphere in America alone.

Fuel Consuming Computer

Okay, your computer doesn’t necessarily run on carbon fuels however the electricity it uses to run daily does and the amount used has been piling up over the past few decades now as more people buy home PC units to enjoy the world of computing. Are we bad for this? My assumption is no, especially when you are probably finding this out right now. Can we help change this global warming trend that our computer’s contribute to? The answer is yes.

Saving the World One Computer at a Time

So you are probably wondering what solution there may be to help reduce your contribution to this growing problem. There are many ways to help lessen the burden on our mother earth:

* Turn Off Computer When Not in Use

* Adjust Your Hibernate Mode to Idle at a Lesser Time

* Install the Free Co2 Saver from Snap Onto Your Computer

* Explore Alternative Energy for Your Home (Solar, Wind, etc.)

* Try More Outdoor Activities without a Car

Free Energy Saving Program Installs

The Co2 Saver from Snap is a cool install application that is free of spyware that allows you to monitor your computer’s usage and the impact it is making on the environment in relation to carbon dioxide. It is a real nifty little tool as it lets you see what you have saved as well as how much you have consumed. It automatically can adjust your computer to the most environmentally friendly settings in your contribution to battle global warming.

Another cool install does about the same thing exact thing except it also shows you what natural resources you have saved and what you have consumed in relation to your computer’s energy consumption. The program is offered by a company named UniBlue and is called Local Cooling. Both programs are entirely free, so it might be fun to see just how much of a dent you can put in the global warming trend.

While global warming and pollution may seem like a trendy topic often associated with politics, hippie parades, or MTV the topic is nothing to ignore or just show concern for one day out of a year. The reality of life is that we all have just this one planet for many generations to come. This planet is what gives us life, food, air, and water. We cannot expect to enjoy the luxury of living if we do not protect our human habitat.

Global Warming Interrupted But Eat Raw Bugs Anyway

If humans had already colonized Jupiter, Neptune and Mars, it would certainly be all our fault. In fact, the United Nations Planetary Climate Change Council would be receiving the Nobel Peace Prize right about now. Their scientific statement would refer to Jupiter, Neptune and Mars as being in danger of man-made, irreversible, global climate change due to green house gas emissions.

It would be said that all scientists in every nation would be in agreement concerning a dubious future for each of these planets with humans as the cause. There would be no skeptics or doubters. Any dissenting opinion would be dismissed and ridiculed. Of course, there would still be time to save these planets from climate change holocaust, if humans would only change their behavior.

The problem for the proponents of man-made global warming is that planets, like Jupiter, Mars, and Neptune, do not have any known inhabitants. So, humans cannot be responsible for the global climate change occurring on each of these four planets today. Just think about that for a moment. Global warming and climate change occurring on planets in this solar system that cannot be connected to any man-made cause.

Of course, the warming of the Earth during the last century is absolutely man-made if you listen to many of the devoted disciples of global warming. However, isn’t it somewhat presumptuous to assume that humans have the power to control global climate change on Earth? Isn’t it is also presumptuous to assume that global climate change is not part of a long term planetary cycle and that even the sun does not play a major role? No, the true believers of man-made global warming are devoted to a cause. Their cause is to save the planet from a global warming holocaust in the next century brought on by the release of CO2 emissions caused by the reckless consumption of man.

While many planets in our solar system are warming without any human intervention, the Earth has been experiencing dramatic cooling. Last year, dramatic global cooling was measured by all four agencies that track the Earth’s temperature (the Hadley Climate Research Unit in Britain, the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York, the Christy group at the University of Alabama, and Remote Sensing Systems Inc in California). It is now estimated that the Earth cooled by about 0.7C in 2007 which is the fastest temperature change on record. In addition, the global cooling trend has continued into the first five months of 2008.

Of course, faced with the current cooling trend, past climate predictions of global warming for our immediate future are suddenly at risk. In fact, as global temperatures fall, the 0.3°C global average temperature rise which had been the prediction for the next decade by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change will soon have to be revised and explained. Already, some scientists are coming up with a possible reason to keep the true believers faithful to the cause. It is a sort of global warming interrupted rationalization because many researchers now expect a “lull” for up to a decade while natural variations in climate apparently cancel out the increases caused by man-made greenhouse gas emissions.

So, it now could be a much colder decade ahead even as the world continues to fight man- made global warming. Meanwhile, it will be increasingly difficult to explain to one billion starving people across the planet, that there is a global food shortage while nations grow corn to use as bio fuel to counter man-made global warming, even though the planet is in fact dramatically cooling.

However, a recent edition of Time Magazine has a recipe that may prove helpful to avoid world starvation while saving the environment at the same time. In another of their many stories on the environment and society, the magazine has a feature on eating insects. A video featured at Time.com actually shows people how to cook them.

Eating insects means the world would consume less meat. Eating less meat would result in less carbon emissions which would result in relief from man-made global warming. Time.com will show you how to cook beetles, grasshoppers, silkworms, and centipedes. Of course, eating the insects raw would use less energy and be even better for the environment.

If you want to listen to the proponents of man-made global warming, just forget the fact that other planets in the solar system are warming dramatically without any human inhabitants. Also, disregard the fact that the Earth is currently experiencing a dramatic cooling trend. So, fight to save the planet from global warming by ordering your new heavy winter coat and continue to advocate growing corn for use as bio fuel.

To the true believers of man made climate change, the next decade may be global warming interrupted but for the good of the planet people should be eating raw bugs anyway. The truth is that all of this man-made global warming hysteria continues to make very little common or economic sense to me.

For most of the ideas, “Time,” in which no one will – the person on the receiving end of the message must be in good spirits for the purchase of your company. To take an example, say your business a database for students per day. A good place to advertise could the library (preferably, in the vicinity of the line equipment), or online classifieds ad websites in support of the students. Here, take your child at the right time – right when you are a student and need help, and are near a computer so that you can visit your site.

Personal gay men can cause a lot of unnecessary pregnancies by the reactions of the people. Publication of your sexuality is not an easy thing, especially if the person who wants to have no idea until now. If you have been friends for a long time, a person is confused with the right timing to reveal his intentions. John says that after he loved his longtime friend, pity was shown to him, I got it immediately. My friend thought he was innocent and mutual sympathy of all time and John thought he was also gay.

The beauty of the personal use of gay men on the gay blog is that everyone what to expect, knows when. If you love adventure and you say you’re in the mood to ask your partner to do crazy things, go through every word and of course his sense of humor. If you say you love open relationships, non-possessive partner does not come in his way.

I have spoken often of the importance of Nino for the fate of the world's climate, we have often seen as a strong Nino leads to increased global anomalies and how strong Nina also dissolves much average global temperatures. In fact we saw some time ago in " Oceans and Troposphere, the best fit "that the best correlation between the anomalies and oceanic anomalies tropospheric is made from a blend of various tropical ocean areas.

Why the tropical oceans are so important to the global climate is evident in those areas of the ocean surface temperatures were higher than we are, even over 30 °, and there occur large conventions which raise arpe moisture from the oceans to the troposphere and from there across the globe. Obviously stages Nino / a small impact on "average" anomalies of tropical oceans, but not limited to this area.

If we look at the graph of openness, where I put the data smoothed anomalies Nino 3.4 (divided by 3.5 to compare them in the graph), the anomalies of the tropical oceans (20S-20N) and the global anomalies of the lower troposphere, we can immediately see that trends in tropical ocean anomalies mapped much better performance of the tropospheric anomalies than the sun ENSO anomalies in the area. The moments of greatest dissintonia relate mainly to the two volcanoes listed in the chart.

A note, observe how the UAH tropospheric anomalies are on average lower than those in the oceans before 1998 and very close after 1998.

We see all the data monthly Nino 3.4 and tropical oceans (different scales, data OIv2):

Zoom in 1996:

Nino affects the composition of some tropical ocean anomalies, however, as seen in the chart above, the latter are more related to what is induced in the troposphere. Here we can see how even the tropical anomalies were relatively lower than average and Nino anomalies before 1998 and after are very similar.

If we calculate the average anomalies before and after Nino 98 (Jan. 82-May 1997 and April 1998-April 2010) we obtain these values before and after Nino Nino respectively:
Nino 3.4 anomalies: +0.17 °, -0.05 ° Anomalies Tropical Oceans: +0.07 °, +0.20 ° Lobal UAH anomalies: -0.04 °, +0.23 °
The average ENSO has actually decreased m Instead entre tropical ocean and global tropospheric anomalies increased after Nino of 1998.

Let's see how it went the difference between the global tropical ocean anomalies and ENSO time zone:

We see that up until the 98 Nino differences varied according to ENSO cycles around the neutrality whereas the tropical oceans since 1998 have consistently been the hottest.

It is also interesting to observe the evolution of differences between the tropospheric anomalies and the tropical ocean global. Here again we have an oscillatory behavior on an average of -0.15 ° before Nino 98 (with clear evidence of cooling air pollution Pinatubo) and around the neutrality after Nino 98:

ff-UAH-Trop.JPG "/>

One of the most important areas of tropical oceans is IPWP, the hottest area of the world's oceans between East Indian and West Pacific oceans, and this area has had these abnormalities average:
IPWP: +0.05 °, +0.30 °
So this area has had quite different behavior in this medium between Nino and tropical oceans, this is the monthly chart:

Now we have a clear reason for differences between trends in average before and after 98 of Nino ENSO zone than the rest of tropical oceans: the area IPWP Nino after 1998 has been decreasing very slowly but at much higher values of anomaly. I already talked about this and recently in http://globalwarming.blog.meteogiornale.it/2010/05/03/effetto-non -Linear-del-nino /.

The current Nino, now waning, has led tropical anomalies very high second only to Nino 98, as is evident from the graphs given here. As Nino 3.4 itself was lower than those of 1982 and 88 but the heat other tropical oceanic species in the Atlantic, brought average near record anomalies that are then recorded in the troposphere, as seen, is very related to tropical ocean.

I leave you in detail all the most important phases of Nino from 1982 onwards reporting anomalies Nino 3.4 (divided by 3.5), the tropical ocean anomalies and anomalies of the lower troposphere global UAH. This will also allow you to observe the average time lag occurring between Nino and oceans and oceans and between the troposphere and the troposphere different responses to various stresses:

G "alt =" tr-tro-nino-wah-1982.JPG "/>

Popularity: 2% [ ? ]

Did you ever count how many times you throw garbage at home? Just one time? Surely, you must have thought about it for more than once. After cooking, you throw garbage. Likewise, you also throw garbage after dinner or after shopping. Just one day you don’t remove the garbage from your house, the flies will full in your house. What’s worse, odor spread. You wouldn’t want that to happen.

Trash can indeed be a source of problems and diseases. However, we must know that the waste could also be useful, especially organic waste. Household garbage could be turned into compost to fertilize the soil. But, make compost at home? Are you kidding? No. This is really you can do yourself. If you don’t believe it, check Naturemill.com. With compost bins, compost made easy. In fact, composting process requires only a little more oxygen, some mixing, and insulation. A powerful water filters would accelerate the composting process and eliminate odors. This is how the compost bins work.

So, when you are traveling out of town for a few days, you don’t have to worry about your house full of flies and smell bad. Compost bins will work for you. It’s great! With compost bins, you and everyone in the world will make compost. Someday, what a difference that will make!
